What I do:
I specialize in interior decorating, redesign, organization, decluttering, paint consultations, home staging, small event planning and reclaimed furniture and decor builds.
I implement reclaimed and repurposed items when possible, which might come from the client’s home, previous jobs, or from antique, secondhand or salvage shops.
I will walk the project area, getting a feel for how it will be used, and come up with a design plan. I firmly believe that items with special meaning should always be highlighted. My process is fluid, and input from the client is an invaluable resource for the development of the design.
I do not provide any construction, painting or large item install services, but can work with your contractor, or painters/installers as needed.
WHAT YOU GET:
DESIGN & REDESIGN PROJECTS:
The initial consultation for any design project on site is free, and there is no obligation to employ my services.
The client will let me know what their plan is for the space, and how they would like it to function. We will discuss whether they want to only use what is in the space, or if they have a budget for the addition of furnishings and décor. These projects are often done fairly quickly, especially if the client wants to solely use existing items.
This service is also beneficial as a staging tool in your space, if you are trying to sell your home. A new layout of your furniture and décor can make a positive impression on sellers during viewings and open houses.
COLOR CONSULTATION:
An initial consultation can be arranged at no-cost. The fees for a color consultation begin when I meet with the client at the space for the first time, to begin discussing color goals, and may also include any trips to gather more color swatches or paint samples, if needed.
SMALL EVENT PLANNING:
I have a passion for planning events and parties as well. This goes back to my love of design, as that is what a party or event is all about. Identifying a theme and expanding on it to bring a desired feeling or result to the event. As with everything I do, I try to stay true to one of my favorite principals: Beauty on a Budget!
WHAT IT COSTS:
My fee is $75/hr for all services, with a minimum half hour time charged to start. Thereafter, time is billed at the actual hours, or fraction of hours worked. This of course does not include any no-charge initial consultations.
*Travel expenses of $0.58/mi may be charged for any properties further than 25 miles from my business location. Additionally, in cases where there are toll road or ferry expenses, these fees may also be added to the invoice.
