I have always enjoyed rearranging items in a space to find the most appealing layout. Even as a child, I was constantly rearranging my bedroom furniture, and as a teenager, my mom would often ask for my opinion with color choices for paint, furniture or design elements.
As an adult, I moved into design for my own family: in our home, our vacation property and our business locations. I also helped friends and family members plan and implement remodels and design layouts of home offices, kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. I have built elements and furniture from reclaimed items, and also enjoy planning small parties and events.
When we moved my husband’s clinic to a new location, I was in charge of all of the design – paint colors, flooring, doors and hardware, bathroom fixtures, furniture, seating, decor. Every element was carefully chosen to provide a calm, relaxing atmosphere for our staff and patients. Much of what I utilized came from Snohomish antique shops and Second Use Salvage in Seattle and Tacoma. I enjoyed it so much, and received so many positive comments and compliments, that I decided the time was finally right to turn my passion into a business venture!
I thoroughly enjoy what I do, and I love being able to turn my clients’ visions for their space into a reality.
